    Pros

paid weekly but not very good pay

    Cons

slave drivers, one of the worst companies to work for.. they don't pay for training or travel time. die from the heat in the summer months and freeze in the winter. Wrongly accuse workers of stealing, then tell them what to write and where to initial when they fire them....BULLIES

I have been working at Dollar General part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fun environment and easy to work in without having to remember 100 employees names like you would in walmart. laid back in some cases but still professional and makes it easier on the customers if you hate the "Big Box" feel.

    Cons

Its hard to meet the demands at times but its much easier than the big box stores. Can be stressful when the head honcho comes to see the store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Smaller stores need more hours too so we can get our jobs done and keep the place afloat! But you do keep the demands on us down to very manageable levels which makes for (usually) happy managers not being stressed to the core.
