I have been working at Dollar Tree full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

They do like to promote from within 8/12 of the stores in my district have store managers that started out as assistants and even as cashiers. The monthly bonuses which aren't as hard to get as everyone thinks. I have a good dm which helps me any time I need it. I am usually out of there right on my scheduled time. They pay is good especially compared to other dollar type stores

Cons

Having just two assistants and one quitting. Trying to get a full week vacation without having to borrow an assistant from another store. The truck not ever coming in on time

    I worked at Dollar Tree

    Pros

Next to Home Goods, this was the most fun place I worked. The staff was super friendly and we all got along amazingly. Management was cool and very laid back. If you needed a day off it was no problem at all. The only reason I left was because I moved and I transferred to another store! Hours were part time except if you were a manager (40). Cashiers and recovery got about 20-30.

    Cons

Management acted more like a friend then a supervisor at times, one man show most of the time, hostile work environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure there are enough workers to over crazy busy days. One cashier to ring up a line of 20 people just angers customers.
