We have the most organized and clean store in the area. The managers are always helpful and great about explaining processes.

Cons

The customers that simply do not believe everything is $1 (or less).

The only pro is that they have direct deposit.

    Pros

Steady 40 hour a week paycheck was nice. I liked the small staff size of the store as it made it feel like more of a team setting then everyone out for their own. I highly enjoyed my customers. Paid time off was a plus. District manager was always encouraging and gave praise when due.

    Cons

40 hours a week was never enough time to get all the work done. Lack of support from store manager and working 50+ hours most weeks (unpaid) made it a very stressful and unhealthy environment. As with most jobs, too much favoritism and gossiping going on. No life outside of work unless you could tear yourself away. As a full timer, usually ended up taking 4+ hours of work home with me every week.

    Advice to Management

District managers who are good are few and far in between. Don't throw them away so easily but value their input. Learn to listen to your store management staff as a whole and not just take Store Managers at their word. You will continue to lose valuable members of lower management, whom are really the back bone of the stores, because you take store managers words versus opening your eyes and seeing the truth.
