Sad to see the downfall of a company.

I began working for the company as it was transitioning from the former owner to a new owner. I enjoyed my co-workers and felt a sense of camaraderie but that was not a company-wide spirit.


The new owner had poor management and leadership skills. The company went downhill under his direction and where once it was a national company with over 100 employees and offices in several states, at the time I left is was down to 12 employees and about to file bankruptcy. It was a case of not listening to advice from his staff and there was a tendency toward favoritism. Motivation declined

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's too late now, but I will say that to head a company means taking responsibility which means there are decisions to be made and hard work that has to be done. There is no excuse to shirk responsibility. You also have to learn to rely on the expertise of you staff in the areas your not expert
