Pros

Donaldson is a very stable company in a long term growing industry (filtration), and the company is well diversiified around one primary technology (filtration), which allows them to very effectively leverage their R&D across many industries and many geographies. They invented, now manufacture, and have leading market shares for filters in every I-pod, as well as filter systems as big as 3-story buildings, and everything in between, stationairy or mobile.

Cons

Corporate politics and cronyism, poor perfromance review process, lower than average pay, little-to-no career development process. It's every man (or woman) for himself. There's a lot of "who you know" and "being in the right place at the right time" that gets you ahead in Donaldson, and very little support from HR or elsewhere to develop employee's careers.

Advice to Senior Management

They could reduce the turnover rate with a better career development and performance review process.
