Dr. D Studios – “Love the people - hate the 'story-driven' pipe.”

Pros

Great bunch of people, very friendly, great location, well catered for. Great department with people who know what they're doing, excellent department production management, reasonable overtime pay.

Cons

'Story-driven' workflow is poorly done and painful. Noone taking charge of inter-departmental communication and workflow, pipeline is new, but perhaps messier than even a new pipeline should be. A lot of artists sitting on their hands doing nothing while TA's/TD's are swamped with bad pipe issues.

Advice to Senior Management

Throwing more people at a problem is rarely a good solution. Cut dead weight sooner.
