    Former Employee - Production Coordinator
    Former Employee - Production Coordinator

I worked at DreamWorks Animation full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great atmosphere
    Good projects
    Mostly great folks
    Good benefits
Sick days/Vacation days are more than average

    Cons

Wages mediocre, even after working there for years.
Company would hire outside people and pay them a lot more that current employees
Favoritism when coming to raise time
Free food doesn't mean 2% raise covers cost of living
Breeds competitive nature amongst coworkers instead of instilling a team mentality

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay loyal employees what they are worth, get real with the weekly rates
    Control competition amongst coworkers
Need mentoring of middle management, some upper management on a show not good at leading by example
cross training in all departments, so everyone understands what other departments do

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO
