Great opportunity, excellent people

R&D Intern (Former Employee)
Glendale, CA

I worked at DreamWorks Animation

ProsGreat environment for creative technical work, great people to work with. Work on interesting projects. Room to grow if you really apply yourself.

Cons- Software requires a lot of hand-holding, and significant time can be spent ensuring compatibility between departments
- Limited number of R&D intern positions. R&D teams tend to be very insulated from younger talent and change.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe software keeps things running. While animation brings home the bread in the short term, don't skimp on improving underlying technology along the way.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
