Pros

Things are seemingly turning around as new benefits are being added and promotion from within is headed for an upswing.

Cons

Management doesn't appear to really have a finger on the pulse of departments and have a grasp of what's going on in terms of morale and attitude.

Advice to Management

Recognize the key talent in each department and work towards cultivating an atmosphere that will encourage these inviduals to want to stay and grow with the company.

    Pros

    Good benefits
Most employees are friendly and generally good people.

    Cons

Salaries are below market average and no indication that the company is improving their attitude.
Annual raises are poor (less than 3%). Raises are same for most everyone, regardless of performance.
Hourly employees work some overtime at time and one-half. Salary employees are over-worked and under-paid.
Too much micro management. This seems to be in every department.
Software is outdated and the company isn't willing to change..
Different treatment for men and women. The good 'ol boy network thrives here.
Employee training is poor or non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees and listen to what they have to say.

    Pros

    Great people to learn from
Good place to start your career
    Great manufacturing experience
    Good facilities
    Good experience gained from work
    Pay is good

    Cons

    No flexible hours
Senior management spends too much time trying to micromanage your everyday activities
    Benefits a bit outdated
    Preferential treatment
    No leadership positions available
Titles do not mean anything unless management
    Poor training program
Not consistent within the company about raises/promotions some groups give better promotions/responsibilities/pay raises

    Advice to Management

Employ a training coordinator to properly train new engineers, learning on the job is great but sometimes there is more training required
Add flexible hours to keep and attract talented engineers
Micromanaging salary employees should be done by supervisors not senior management
Give engineers some responsibility with promotions
