I worked at Drury Hotels part-time (less than an year)

Pros

hourly employees get raises-I even got an added bonus on top of mine, quarterly bonuses, flexible schedule

Cons

standing all day, can't eat the breakfast or the kickback, sometimes would work a night shift then a morning shift the next day

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work schedules to where we don't have 8 hours in between shifts, although they did not happen often. Other than that,, no advice. Ya'll were great :D

Former Employee - Guest Service Agent in Indianapolis, IN

I worked at Drury Hotels as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Because it is privately owned by a family, everything having to do with family reputation matters- they want the best from their employees, and treat them well to get results. They have won the best service award from JD Powers like seven years in a row.

    Cons

The clientele that Drury draws is very different than say, a Marriott or Hyatt, and for some that is a culture shock. Also, it may be hard to voice opinions about change, because it's pretty much what the family says goes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to subordinate opinions, make sure everyone is happy, which really for the most part happens.
