Former Employee - Accounting Assistant in Downers Grove, IL
Former Employee - Accounting Assistant in Downers Grove, IL

I worked at DuPage Medical Group full-time (less than a year)

Pros

There is a steady work flow, so the day tends to go by quickly. Working hours are regular business hours, can come in anytime as long as eight hours are worked.

Cons

The office I worked in was pretty quiet, there is not a lot of interaction with other employees, and when there is it tends to be because there is a problem. Some of the management practices are questionable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I didn't like having to punch a clock when my work was mostly results based. If my work was completed and nobody else needed assistance, I should have been able to leave.

More of a Big Corporate Business Than a Medical Group

Former Employee - Receptionist in Wheaton, IL

I worked at DuPage Medical Group full-time

    Pros

Enjoyed Coworkers in reception. The office was less than 5 miles away.

    Cons

Salary too low, no career growth, low raises, no breaks, treated poorly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest in the hiring process, there are no bonuses and raises are less than 30 cents per yearly review. There are no breaks, you cannot leave your seat in reception. Raise the hourly wage so we feel like we are part of the team rather than the lowly reception pool. There are no incentives to stay in this position for more than 6 mos!

Grew too fast ... emphasis on money/schedule ... little on quality or people

Current Employee - Information and Transformation in Lisle, IL

I have been working at DuPage Medical Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Big company ... lots of growth .. perhaps job stability

    Cons

Managers are very upwardly responsive ... Culture trickles down and culture is money first, people development ... well not even on chart ...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers need some managerial training ... seem to have come up ranks and know little to nothing on how to manage and keep employees.
