Pros

The work life balance is a plus for DuPont. The company makes every effort to be as ethical as possible. Training opportunities are good at times.

Cons

The pay and benefits are a little behind the competitors in the local job market. Management does not seem to adjust when needed.

    Pros

High level of ethics instilled in the environment maintains DuPont's reputation as a quality partner in business. Highly skilled employees passionate about their work, and engaged in the company culture.

    Cons

Most employees are somewhat reserved, shy, and very fixed on job performance. Somewhat anti-social outside of the work environment and this shows in the stress levels. Most employees are conservative in action and are looking to settle down to raise a family and retire.

    Advice to Management

The hierarchy is apparent, the Biggest of the Wigg's, ie Ellen Kullman, was never in the same building as the co-ops. I saw her one time in passing but never was introduced or got to shake her hand. It would be a huge incentive to meet the highest officials of the company on the first day for a brief 5-10 minutes and then be able to aspire to follow in their footsteps. Instead, it seemed like she was so incredibly busy with keeping the company functioning that we may never get a chance to meet her.

  2. Nice people to work with.

    I worked at DuPont

    Pros

Supporting environment to work with. Encouraging and understanding for work and personal life. Opportunity to be involved in various projects.

    Cons

Work innovation pressure. Have to put in long hours when the project demands. Not much contact with higher management.

    Advice to Management

Involve more of your own staff.
