Good place to work

Customer Oriented Work (Current Employee)

I have been working at Duke Energy full-time for more than 5 years

ProsGood benefits
very good pay
nice co workers
helps the community
chances for advancement

Conslong hours
very picky about certain things
new hires are all contract workers paid well below union rates

Advice to Senior Managementas an employee that is also a customer, I would like to see some cost saving measures that would result in a lower power bill for our customers. overspending is rampant in certain areas and the financial waste needs to be stopped.
