Quality internship experience

Former Employee - Intern in Charlotte, NC

I worked at Duke Energy as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Internship often provide unique leadership opportunities...chances to take on projects you find

interesting, shadow other groups that you're curious about

Great benefits, even for interns

Great internship community, lots of outings together and group-building activities

Really an industry leader, working for a prestigious company

Cons

Company is currently undergoing some shuffling after merger so it's been hectic from what I can tell

very difficult to convert an internship into a full-time position. I've been trying to reach out to representatives there in hopes of coming back after graduation but have yet to receive any response
