Pros

The administration is very fair and impartial. They treat everyone poorly, not just certain people. There's no evidence of a good ol' boys club either. The pay is good and the benefits are fair.

Cons

The work environment is extremely strict. There is very little teamwork and everyone seems to be in it for themselves. Sometimes it feels like a contest to see who can throw who under the bus the fastest.

Advice to Management

Try to make your employees feel more welcome and be more supportive of things that cannot be controlled. Understand that your employees are humans and have feelings. Invest more in your employees and they will invest more in your business.

    Pros

Great atmosphere, great working conditions, the culture makes you feel like you've been here your whole life. The people are what make it great

    Cons

Communication, it shouldn't be that hard but sometimes it is the biggest struggle. It can become very frustrating. I suppose you should take the good with the bad

    Pros

nice people - top to bottom; safe place to work; good benefits

    Cons

There are ABSOLUTELY NO STANDARDS within the Engineering Department - MANY drawings are incomplete/incorrect and was told that "That is the way it has always been and we just have to deal with it" - everyone, and I do mean nearly everyone, talks openly about the lack of standards and universal frustration and confusion that it brings; DO NOT follow Project Management standards - always scrambling to get stuff done efficiently and on time - always the "cart before the horse" methodology; poor company communication - top to bottom; impossible to get managers to "talk" - frequently being passed off to someone else; told by HR that I should go over and around my boss - no matter what - to get something important done; use a freeware version of SharePoint 2006 for primary internal document sharing that barely works; both plants (STL and Sedalia) operate independently creating MASSIVE frustration by those who need technical information; pass off far too much work to third parties, that can be internally, to other companies, creating unnecessary delays and much greater expenses; greater internet blockage than most K-12 schools; only managers get direct access to parking lot gates - have to call to get it opened if not entered at specified times

    Advice to Management

    1) COMMUNCIATION!, 2) Have and enforce business and engineering standards
