Great work environment

Circulation Assistant (Former Employee) Durham, NC

ProsDuke is a great place to work as a student. There are tons of job opportunities on campus. Working as a Circulation Assistant at Perkins Library is typically coveted by both undergraduates and grad students because you basically get paid to work on homework.

Pros
-laid-back environment
-able to do homework at work
-easy work

Cons-pay was kind of low, but i was a student working part-time anyway
-nothing else really

    Sub-par

Postdoctoral Associate (Current Employee) Durham, NC

I have been working at Duke University full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Taught me to work more independently and rely on myself. Cons: Terrible administration. They made life very difficult. Ranomly will lose your insurance, or not get paid one month, or lose an opportunity… Advice to Senior Management: Hire detail-oriented people. Educate them on how to do their job properly, and have consequences for them if they fail. This university… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
