I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

- Work from home several days a week
- Competitive salary
- Career growth and maneuvering possibilities

Cons

- financial flexibility (lay-offs) touted as core strength of the company. Lay-offs every year in every department for 10 straight years, regardless of performance of the employee. I saw multiple extremely competent people laid off who had been there over 30 years. Just so CEO could keep her bonus.

- CEO / GLT only care about meeting the bottom line so their bonus stays put. And the bottom line only meets expectations by laying people off (no revenue growth).

- Culture of lay-offs puts everyone on edge, looking out for themselves at all times. Highly political environment. Lots of secrets and very poor communication.

- Avoid this company

Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO / GLT should be fired immediately. This once proud pillar of American capitalism is finished.

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The benefits are fair. Some of the people are nice and know the job.

    Cons

Upper management is out of touch and knows nothing about the business. They purchased the company for profit only and do not care about how it is obtained...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review the current practices of all the sales people and a Performance Improvement Plan in place. Reward your customer service team with better salaries or better incentives since they interact with the customer the most.

Sweat shop with high turn over

Former Employee - NCAT Sales Associate in Greensboro, NC

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    It was a 8-5 job
    Health benefits from day 1

    Cons

    1. Promised a lot of money and never saw it.
    2. Management shows favoritism with special buckets of work fed to either the females or African Americans. So they could hit goals
    3. I had 26 people in my training class at the 1 year anniversary only 3 of us were still there. HIGH TURNOVER.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the turn and burn! It's cheaper to keep an employee than to hire new ones every other month.
