I worked at DynCorp International full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Can't think of anything positive really to say. Overall experience has been negative. They look at people as commodities that can be discarded at the snap of a finger. No compassion, no empathy, no humility, and no sense of responsibility towards the employees.

Cons

Greed and selfish leadership team. For example, public information from Salary.Com reveals 2012 annual salary packages for: Steve Gaffney, President & CEO at $6,582,399. Bill Kansky, SVP, CFO at $1,832,709. Joe Ruffolo Jr., SVP & Chief of Staff at $966,378. Steve Schorer President at $1,544,212. The only thing comes to mind is, this makes most of DI emploees pretty sick. The leadership team does not care about the employees and their well being, they only care about their pocketbooks.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being greedy. Your combined salary can hire 120 people at $100k each. Stop laying off people so you can buy weekend two million dollar plus houses on the Maryland eastern shore, Ferrari's, Mercedes's, Porsche's etc. Have some sense of responsibility and humility towards the employees that enrich you.

Gaffney and company, take a close look at your social contract and your meaningless star, "do the right thing." Practice what you preach.
