Fine place to work and learn after college, but it's not a career.

I have been working at Dynamic Logic

Pros

The people are nice, management is relaxed. One has the ability to learn more technical skills, but must be self-motivated.

Cons

No real direction for career or pay growth. No in-house infrastructure to educate employees. Pay is ok, but not great. Work can become tedious and repetitive if one isn't a self-starter and creates a niche capability.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people a clear path to career growth, not just a new title.

I have been working at Dynamic Logic full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great benefits. Lots of PTO and other perks that most don't have.

    Cons

A lot of micro-managing and measuring company success on a quarterly basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop putting so much emphasis on quarterly results.

I worked at Dynamic Logic full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It appears as though anyone they will accept anyone they like (as in socially, not professionally) who they interview with off the street--Prior experience doesn't matter.

    Cons

-Incredibly unprofessional management. One of their operations directors worked at a supermarket before running a major division...
-Management appears to have this zen philosophy about training: they will not tell you what you aren't picking up until it is too late--then slowly alienate you until they feel like firing you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When someone has umpteen references claiming they are the smartest individual they have ever met and you cannot seem to train that person... It's obviously you. Use some of that "dynamic" logic and train people the way you were trained. Don't take your frustrations out on a recent grad who is trying his best to take conflicting, mutually exclusive directions from three incompetent (associate) directors & a VP who clearly takes orders from his subordinate.

Your office is like a run-down circus. Get your house in order. PHP isn't as secure as Java...

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
