Pros

E*TRADE was once a small fish in a big pond. Now with its bank, international presence, large customer base and national and global recognition it is a big player in its space. The firm can continue to grow one the bank puts its issues to rest. great company, with the need to have a change in upper mgmt (CEO and CFO) to get it back to a place where customers and employees and shareholders are smiling and believing that the firm is on a growth pattern once again.

Cons

right now like many other firms E*TRADE is contracting and going on a holding pattern on growth. It is cost cutting certain infastructures that will only need to be built back up again during the growth period. If should really look to cut our of certain businesses and high $ exec comp.

Advice to Senior Management

every copmany has a CEO, CFO, and COO to take it to a certain point then move on...Kristos had his time....Mitch made his mark, Layton did his share...now lets get a CEO who can build the trust of the ranks and instill the same vigor and enthusiam that the firm once had...
