I worked at EBMUD

Pros

The only PRO to working with EBMUD is the paycheck and the consistancy of the hours required to work. It's nice to have a full time job.

Cons

If you aren't accepted inside the 'click', then consider your time spent at EBMUD as barely tolerable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Investigate and follow up on complaints regarding the treatment of blue collar workers by their supervisors or other co-workers.

I have been working at EBMUD full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Incredibly employee-friendly organization. Great colleagues and incredible compensation and benefits. A leader in many areas of the industry and good, strategic management. As far as public agencies go, this is one of he best places to work.

    Cons

Because of the great compensation relative to peer agencies, the main path for exit from the organization is retirement. Certain folks are disgruntled and unwilling to take ownership of their own careers in order to advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice is to the union leadership. Stay focused on health, safety, and compensation.
