Pros

Good work benefits, scope for growth and challenging work. Large company so can change between departments for exiting work. Generally most of the employes have work from home option and the work environment is pretty relaxed.

Cons

Immigration HR not so great, would not recommend for recent grads who require visa sponsor ship and GC later on.

    Pros

    EMC is a great place to work with an ever expanding empire of businesses. This creates opportunity and sometimes confusion, but definitely doesn't leave to repetition or boredom so long as you embrace the chaos.

    Cons

    EMC does not always place equal focus on all areas of the business. Some high growth sectors are understaffed and require a lot more time and investment.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing and try to better manage high growth areas.

    I worked at EMC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Huge company with big future. Teamates and peers are good people and generally have your back. Oppurtunity to make a big difference and really show value with your customers. Huge presence in the IT industry.

    Cons

    In the past 2 years regional field directors have become more focused on "process support" than true customer service. Only those who comply with their directors whims and constantly changing initiatives are treated fairly. Several field level managers are focused on managing good long term workers out of EMC. If you work your way up from an entry level position to management, you will not be compensated fairly. More interested in bringing in outside candidates than promoting internal candidates. Workload is not at all distributed evenly, quality of life was dismal. Often worked 7 days a week between 70/80 hours.

    Advice to Management

    You are losing quality focus and the field is more concern with process than doing right for your customers. Several long term employees have left in the past 6 months and expect that trend to continue if something is not done to fix the inept field leadership in customer service.
