I have been working at EMC full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Fast paced work environment, hard/good quality work gets recognition. I've worked for some great managers who believe in the work/life balance and in the development of their employees. Good pay, yearly raises and benefits.

Cons

Very reactive vs. proactive work environment, some broken processes. Noticeable power structure where people are weary to step on others toes.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with employees, solicit more feedback.

    Pros

Good place to work if you need a job.

    Cons

The company seems to do pretty well. It's a shame it doesn't trickle down to the employees.

I worked at EMC full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work environment, ability to work remotely, quality product, friendly co-workers, not overly competitive environment.

    Cons

Challenging to advance with all the dead weight overhead, very "big corporate" with countless procedures and processes, nearly impossible to get a raise, VERY Good ol Boys Network.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you give Joe Tucci a 17% raise it is a bit disingenuous to tell the rest of us that there is no money in the raise pool.
