Pros

Employees are empowered to do what it takes to complete the job. Management does not micromanage and generally leaves employees to do their job as they see fit as long as the proper results are produced. Benefits and pay are far above the norm for engineer/support level positions.

Cons

The only complaint I can think of is that because of all the recent acquisitions, there is minimal profit-sharing to the mid-level employees. Salaries are already above market level, so this is a minimal complaint, but even so it can be frustrating.

Advice to Management

More profit-sharing (stock options, bonuses, etc) when the company is performing well.

    Pros

    -F500 with F500 benefits
    -International opportunities
-Flexibility with roles, especially in non-corporate divisions

    Cons

    -Extremely political, sometimes dysfunctionally so
-HUGE playing of favorites, with quiet, hardworking employees not valued
-"No money for bonus" for strong employees

    Advice to Management

When you cost-cut and expect employees to pick up the slack without any sort of acknowledgement (even nominal) when they deliver, don't be surprised when they leave, and you have to hire two people to replace all the work they did.

    Pros

International brand recognition, offices across the country/world, flexibility, plus the company has branched out into doing lots of different things so there is a breadth of opportunities

    Cons

Highly siloed, still seen as "the data storage company" no matter what your role or division is, which hurts you in the long run unless you're in the cloud business

    Advice to Management

Make remote/traveling employees and consultants feel more like a part of the company rather than just a contractor.
