    I worked at EMC

    Pros

    Appealing pay structure and benefits.

    Cons

Hard to stay afloat with minimal direction and development from leadership. Seemed like there was high turnover which causes issues in developing markets. 3 new account managers in 2.5 years... really?

    Pros

My organization let people be self starters and take on their own responsibility for their various projects.

    Cons

Multiple re-orgs. EMC remains an east coast company and will draw out the decision making process. To justify your decision you need to be on early (5am-6am) phone calls or fly to Boston loosing a day to travel. Roles have become very staid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give responsibility and delegate decision making downward. Give up trying to run everything from the east coast.
