Pros

The people here are great. There's a lot of diversity and you'll work with all types of personalities. EMC also offers good benefits, corporate discounts, community events, and nice facilities.

Cons

There is often a large workload for a limited amount of resources. Depending on the management, this can lead to overloaded employees, low to zero work-life balance, and high burn-out rates.

I worked at EMC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is good if you hit your number

    Cons

1980's management top to bottom Abusive QBR practices, telling people they will be fired in front of their peers if they don't get their numbers up Internal competition between divisions creates a zero sum game of I win you lose and vice versa inside the company - teams compete against each other instead of doing what's right for the customer. Oh, and did I mention that in the field sales organization less than 5% of the reps are women? EMC is an all testosterone all the time environment.

    Advice to Management

Wake up, it's 2014. Abusive sales management has no place in a company in this day and age. You might look at why the stock performs so poorly, then take a look in the mirror to see if it might have something to do with the way the company is being managed.
