“World Class tech company”
I have been working at EMC
Pros – EMC has put together a superb portfolio based on 10 years of acquisitive growth with very few mistakes. CEO Joe Tucci has done an outstanding job of changing EMC from being "just" a storage company, to a full Information Infrastructure company, and now to the leading provider of Private Cloud solutions. Lots of very bright and motivated people here.
Cons – The culture is very "east coast" - traditional, somewhat hierarchical
If you don't like the difficulties of large organisations - multi layered matrix orgs etc - then it may not be what you're looking for
Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing what you are doing, you have created a global leader and are continuing to pull away from the Cloud Computing pack
