I worked at ERMC full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Company is fairly stable, but don't plan on a bright future here

Cons

Poor middle management. Upper management is dedicated to the company, but often fools themselves into thinking their decisions are being adopted by the people below them. Not much chance to progress in the corporate office. Field employees can advance into the management roles in their areas (although there is very high churn there) Company is very focused on the profit margin. Not an altogether bad focus, but sometimes things need to be upgraded. The corporate policies are NOT applied evenly to all employees. Friends of the family are often treated better and shown a blind eye, while people who are dedicated to the work (instead of the family) are shown the door when they disagree with middle management. Compensation is very low. Benefits are subsidized, so you will be paying all of your insurance.

Advice to Management

Look at your departments with high churn, maybe the problem isn't with the talent you are attracting, maybe they are being driven off by the supervisors. Changing "corporate culture" is not a bad goal, but saying you are going to do it, and then declaring victory doesn't mean you did it. The rank and file corporate employee life didn't change at all.

    I have been working at ERMC part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Depending on who your managers are, they usually work around your schedule, as long as you don't need weekends off. Advancement into lower management is easily possible due to high attrition rate.

    Cons

    Company is shady, example: Contract we work is hundreds of hours behind because no one applies to the job for the low pay rate, so the company we are contracted for agrees to increase the pay rate. Sounds great right? Well all the new hires received the new pay rate, the old hires got stuck with the old pay rate, and ERMC pocketed the extra money the contract company was paying for our pay increase. Employee loss rate per year is close to 100% if not more. They just hire more people to fill in the spots.

    Advice to Management

    Try and pretend you care about your employees.

    Pros

    Good management, varied types of work, and flexible work schedules.

    Cons

    Your hired in at the state minimum. There are no performance reviews for employees, which in turn means no raises.

    Advice to Management

    Offer yearly performance reviews which is to include raises in pay. When someone is promoted, even to a supervisor position, raise the pay.
