Pros

LOTS of activities offered, high energy from everyone, kids are very excited to be there, the directors at this camp knows how to run a camp, family flings, and literally so much more (rock wall, plays, art, engineering, photography, sports, swimming pool, quest challenges, etc. etc. etc.) If you like working with kids, this is the place to go. I've worked at a summer camp before, and it was no where near as exciting as this one.

Cons

Hot, hot, hot, and humid summer days spent partially (sometimes mainly) outdoors. Days can seem long and draining. OK pay.

Advice to Management

Management works well. I have zero complaints for any of the directors or even staff.

    Pros

They put children first and work hard to inspire them to reach new levels. I have worked part time for the past 3 summers as a staff member and I have seen how they constantly try to improve as an organization and and continually raise the bar in programming, training, and the selection of staff which they seem to do very well.

    Cons

I wish they would run a school or provide their programs year round. The summer is not enough for what they offer kids.

    Advice to Management

Never stop what you are doing. Schools, camps and organizations should operate like ESF does. If so, the world would be a better place.

    Pros

Children love the end product. Staff is fun loving and energetic

    Cons

Management is terminally late on deliverables. Organizational culture is cult like. Repetative propoganda leads to a blind employee loyalty. Diversity is dismal at best. Owners exploit their human capital for company gain. Management is entrechened and change adverse.

    Advice to Management

None! They already have wise counsel which they ingnore
