I have been working at ESIS (Pennsylvania)

Pros

The medical benefits and compensation were great. They have an awesome continued education program. Very nice people to work with. They are paperless too.

Cons

ESIS is one of the smaller TPA's out there. The claim reps have to utilize a claim system that is very outdated. They have accounts that are very demanding like all TPA's. There is one particular major account based in Atlanta that nitpicks all their adjusters and eventually has them removed.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stand behind your talent. There has got to be balance between catering to the accounts and maintaining retention in your new hires.

    Pros

Great health benefits , good 401K, can buy an extra week of vacation, friendly environment, and good office space.

    Cons

They have very, very, limited clerical support so the Examiners have to do most of the clerical work. Because of that the Examiners are limited on working the files timely and efficiently. Therefore the examiners become a data entry clerk rather than being able to work on files. They really need to have a better clerical support in order to service their accounts to the fullest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at expanding what the clerical department can do for the examiners. An examiner can only be good if they can work the file instead of doing all the clerical work.

    I worked at ESIS (Pennsylvania)

    Pros

flexible, great people, good benefits, Lots of talented people work for ACE, so there was always somewhere to turn for questions or assistance.

    Cons

Too many of the staff are just not competent. People are in positions in which they have had no formal training and it shows. their technology is outdated, Upper management was not willing to listen or understand needs of unit which created extra stress on staff. Expectations were unrealistic and no support was provided. It was more of a who you know and not what you know. To many family members working together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    they never listen.
