I worked at ESPN as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Fantastic perks including game tickets, being flown to the Commecticut HQ and the XGAMES.
Fun and laid back job atmosphere.
Good people.
You are surrounded by sports all day!

Cons

Upon permanent hire, the pay is low.
The intern program does not allow you to fully experience the company unless you are willing to help facilitate it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to focus on developing younger employees.

    Travel to cool spots, co-workers, schedule flexibility.

    Pay, unclear expectations of what it takes to be successful, propensity towards sexism, total lack of communication in upper management, red tape for miles when trying to get something done.

    live up to the 'pay for performance' directive as opposed to putting quotas on performance.
