Pros

EVRAZ provides endless opportunity for advancement for hard working, motivated individuals. Compensation and advancement is based on performance and contribution to the organization. Training and development is encouraged and supported within the Company and from the Executive Team. Excellent benefits, generous 401k match and bonus targets.

Cons

Company has experienced a lot of change in an a short period of time, as expected in a relatively new organization. At times work/life balance is a challenge.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to reinforce the current focus on employee involvement and engagement.

    Pros

Great office location, great benefits. Periodic free food. Discounts at surrounding businesses.

    Cons

Small division leads to few opportunities to advance. All direction comes from Europe, if you want any visibility, work in Europe.

    Pros

    Compensation is good
    Vacation time is standard
Great view from the top of the Aon Center

    Cons

    High Turnover (terminations and resignations)
    Toxic culture
Poor work/life balance - this varies by position but I often worked Saturdays
Hard working folks live in constant fear of being fired

    My favorite story:
We had an "All Hands" meeting to announce layoffs at the mills, reduced bonuses, general cutbacks etc. The CEO shows up in his Alabama hat and casually announces that he will be leaving early to fly down to watch The Tide compete in the National Championship. Before announcing the layoffs and cutbacks, told a cute story about how somebody that day offered him $40,000 for his tickets and he turned them down... But unfortunately had to lay off a few people that make less than that a year. Very poor business etiquette.
