Pros

Well known clients, lots of opportunities, great coworkers.

Cons

Not getting to work on the well known clients, and technology is outdated, so not all of the work you do is meaningful.

Advice to Management

Update technology and get more well known and up and coming clients.

    Pros

Big 4 name is about it

    Cons

If you have any Corp experience don't plan on being able to use it. Too much reliance on the caste hierarchy.

    Pros

Heavy exposure to many different areas of the client's accounts which allows us to learn and develop faster than our peers at the other big four. Best hands on learning environment with lots of opportunity for growth and specialization.

    Cons

Due to the high turnover at our firm, there are not many people recurring on the same audit teams. This makes it harder to get coaching from them because they are not always that familiar with the client's accounts. Audit teams get burned out when the client provides late documentation and support. We get burned out because we work longer than normal hours to make up for the client's inability to meet agreed upon deadlines. We work weekends all the time and if you get client's with 12/31, 3/31, and 6/30 year ends then your busy season will be very long (6 to 8 months) and painful !

    Advice to Management

Work harder at making sure the client provides us with what we need to get the audit done. Time and time again I have seen the audit team suffer because the client is slow at getting us what we need. Let the client know that "it takes two to tango" !
