Demanding, Intense, Fantastic career growth

Manager (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

ProsLeadership / partners generally care, are active in your career growth and promote teamwork. Culture generally is one of teaming and mutual advancement. Highly recommended for folks to either start or continue their career! The Business Advisor Program is fantastic for college grads.

ConsAs with all firms, some bad apples in leadership who look out for themselves, are quick to blame others and take credit for all successes. Having experience at a few large consulting firms, this is par for the course. Unfortunately, a lot of your success can depend on luck - who you get along with, who you've had a chance to work with, whether your styles match

Advice to Senior ManagementGrowth is great, but don't relax hiring standards! Some hires have looked great on paper but have turned out to be huge duds. Figure out a better way to weed them out during the hiring process - standardization of hiring practices among sub service lines would be a start...

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
