Current Employee - Business Advisory Program Staff I in New York, NY

I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You work with intelligent people that you wouldn't mind hanging out with on the weekend

    Cons

At a staff level there is not much content learning going on. Some times it feels like you should have started in industry so that you actually have knowledge to advise with. It seems like the company is growing faster every year. Its hard to keep a culture with such extreme growth

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in educating your staff on the content in which they are working on!

Current Employee - Senior Auditor in Dallas, TX

I have been working at EY full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A lot of career advancement opportunities, the ability to work with senior management on a frequent basis, and the opportunity to work in an array of different industries with having very little prior work experience.

    Cons

Very long hours during busy season. You might be assigned to several "busy season" clients in a row and will not have a break from constant stress for quite a significant amount of time. Also, the technology the firm uses is outdated (i.e. - specifically the e-mail server they use).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize its people for their contributions, provide employees the ability to choose an industry related to their individual interests (i.e. - on audit side) and hire more people for busy season months.

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
