I have been working at EY full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people are all amazing. I have rarely ran into anyone I haven't enjoyed working with.

    Cons

You have to be able to take initiative and manage your own career. If you are not willing or unable to do this, then this may not be the right opportunity for you. Additionally, there can be uncertainty regarding where you might be the next week as projects can start and end unanounced.

I have been working at EY full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There is substantial focus on career development and upward mobility for EY's employees.
Opportunities to expand on skills are strong, and there is client interaction at all levels.
Jobs at EY are not limited to accounting: the firm also has leading consulting practices and analytics professionals.

    Cons

Since EY is a Big 4 Accounting firm, many performance objectives are specific to those in tax and accounting professions. Other client-serving professionals, such as consultants who provide advice outside the tax realm, have performance goals that mirror accounting goals too closely at times.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO
