I have been working at EY full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great opportunities to get a taste of how the business world actually works, by working on different clients in different types of engagements. Rewarding career opportunities once you get a hang of the system. Supportive Senior Management

Cons

Lack of tight integration between the Firm's global practices, leading to lot of reinvention of the wheel. The work life takes a heavy toll over personal life due to erratic travel schedules, outside 9-5 demands

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a more sincere effort to improve work-life balance. Most good employees leave with the singular reason that they cannot balance work-life here.

I worked at EY full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good starting point to gain experience and exposure only provided that you do not rely on EY's salary and have other sources of income.

    Cons

The whole organization is oriented to focus on the partners.

Work quality is compramized by reducing the number of staff to increase profitability ratios.

No overtime!. Salary scales are very outdated and do not keep with the annual inflations. annual increments of $70 avg.. No work life balance at all, managers call you after 10pm at night and on the weekends.

They disturb you on the study leaves for silly and non-urgent matters.

If you got an opportunity at any of the big4, I do not recommend EY at all.
