Pros

NY location is great because of the wide range of multicultural interaction. EY offers good benefits and flexible work arrangements. Opportunities to move up and around the globe are available after 1 year of service. Wealth of knowledge on your role are easily available to you.

Cons

Management is overworked to even address any business and personal issues. Recommendations are not often recognized. Non client facing positions do not offer bonus and the position pays little in performance annual increase. Starting salary are relatively low compared to other Big 4 companies.

Advice to Management

HR needs to be realistic to salary and compensation package by region. Management needs to take in advice from team. Hire interns during busy season. FSO supervisors need to focus on core business attributes instead of micromanaging time.

    Pros

Competitive salary and flexible work schedules are available. Not a typical 8-5 job - Depends on who you're working with but if you work with good employees you will like your job.

    Cons

The hours are bad and the firm is cheap when it comes to every day expenses - such as parking downtown.

    Advice to Management

work less - pay more to keep employees happy. Need to see more initiatives made to advance women in the workplace.

  2. Work-life balance is non-existent

    Pros

Great experience and good exposure to different culture. PTO policy is a plus from May - December when vacation is possible.

    Cons

Company preaches flexibility however in practice work-life balance seems non-existent. Company is short on resources as turnover in this industry is a big issue. Compensation isn't great considering the workload required.

    Advice to Management

Work to retain your best talent through offering incentives to stay. Management should show they care about retention and make it a priority. Compensation should be comparable with the Market.
