Pros

Good starting place. Flexible hours when you needed it. I have never been told that I can't go on vacation or do something when I needed/wanted to as long as I got my work done or had plans to get it done. There are a lot of smart hard working people in this office and I get along with them well.

Cons

Long hours, lower pay then I would like (but I'm sure I would be saying that no matter where I was working), and it is hard to be considered one of the best even though you have put in the time and effort. I usually don't mind working with a lot of good people but in this case it's hard to get ahead.

Advice to Management

Pay for better health care, dual monitors at each cube, and make the office look nicer.

    Pros

    - If you were able to prove yourself early on, teams will bring you in and you will be able to have a smoother time.
    - It's really what you make it out to be. You put in your time, effort and personal development, then you will definitely learn a lot more than just cruising.

    Cons

    - Hard to get work-life balance. You do have to sacrifice your personal time.

    Advice to Management

    - If management wants to retain good people, then they have to compensate them - either with time or money. Otherwise, they will be burnt out and leave.
