I have been working at EY full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Very challenging environment. Excellent place to work with its strong global network. You will be able to have a good counselor or mentor in the office.

Cons

No work life balance. To meet client's high expectation, you need to come to the office on weekend or stay late to prepare good quality deliverables.

I have been working at EY full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - if you are outside of ESS/support services/CBS there is room for growth and movement
    - meet some good people
    - get to put a big 4 on your resume

    Cons

    - a culture of only doing what YOU have to do to get yourself by - little help from colleagues - things fall between the cracks because no one/no group wants responsibility for them
    - as others have noted, the review process is an utter joke and as much as they deny it revolves around a bell curve
    - top down, very hierarchical. Many of the benefits/networking/training's are only available to certain groups or only to upper management.
    - management in the Support Services division is extremely poor - all the way to the top and down and leaves many employees dissatisfied
    - little to no career growth outside of client-servers (very few training's offered)
    - many of the processes and technology are archaic (source: we are STILL in the process of switching from Lotus Notes to Outlook)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Management training/class should be REQUIRED for all management yearly - far too many poor managers are hurting the company and increasing the already high turnover rate of employees
    - focus on all the employees - not just the high earners who make up far less of your company

    Doesn't Recommend
