Relatively simple and easy going.

I worked at Eastern Washington University part-time (less than an year)

Pros

I was a Computer Science Lab Tutor. It was easy and you got to help people, though most of the time it was just how to use Microsoft Office products. The people are easy going and nothing that should stress you out too much.

Cons

Not very challenging and sometimes boring. Had to report time online then print it out, get it signed and turn it in again, kind of redundant. Minimum wage but that's expected.

I have been working at Eastern Washington University

    Pros

Eastern Wasington University has a relaxed environment, nice people to work with, non challenging work site, and comes with washington state employee benefits.

    Cons

Operates like a third world country, disfunctional leadership, incompetent managers, unchallenging work environment, unable to understand basic business principles, and very nepotistic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start hiring from outside the University and immediate Spokane area, restructure hiring committees to ensure this happens, and create stricter guidelines for employment.
