I have been working at Eastman Kodak full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The people left here are all cream-of-the-crop. Everybody wants to see this bankruptcy through and see the Company succeed. There are creative and innovative ideas always coming out of everyone. If you need any lessons on 'how to do more with less' this is the place. The average pay is still one of the best in Rochester, NY. The work being done is leading edge.

    Cons

Dealing with a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Not know what the immediate future holds (six months, twelve months)? Loss of jobs at an alarming rate. Reduction in benefits. The little amenities or perks like on site banking, Kodak stores, transportation services, extracurricular activities, are virtually gone. Going on 2 plus years with no salary increase or company bonus (no matter how good/bad your particular group is doing). The constant negative press and 'doom and gloom' of the local news in print, radio and television. The average age of the workforce is late forty's ... hard to cultivate new fresh ideas or pump new blood into the local workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the decisions you need to make and get the company in the right direction. Invest in money-making opportunities. Remember to keep your current employees, the one's who have stuck with you through the worst years in company history in mind. People are your most valuable asset - show them some appreciation.
