I have been working at Eaton full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Eaton still offers a pension, and a competitive 401K match. Insurance seems to be good, with reasonable co-pays and deductions from salary.

Cons

Eaton is a very conservative company, but polotics vary by location. Systems are poor, and data collection is not easy.

A financial driven company, not the employee center company it once was.

    Pros

Good pay, good people, leadership is not what you know or how hard you work but who you know.

    Cons

Performance reviews are a farce, everyone sooner or later get a raise. Company talks about caring for people...lots of talk! Followup on promises, really review your middle leaders, they are looking out for themselves not their employees! In the 70's & 80's a good company not that way anymore!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Walk the talk when it comes to caring for employees.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Cafe on site, business casual, flexible hours, and new facility.

    Cons

Very corporate, no recognition, against change (even for the good), can never spend money or travel in Q3/4, tough to move within company, and the median age is about 50.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize hard work instead of jokes. Think long term and welcome change. Adjust the plan so money is there throughout the year and not overspending in the first half.
