Pros

Work hours are flexible and dress is casual. Vacation and time-off is adequate and increases nicely the longer you're with the company. Co-workers within the division are great and could be stellar given better direction from the management team.

Cons

This company is severely segmented due to it's multiple divisions (acquisitions), which makes me wonder if each division is not re-inventing the wheel and wasting development resources. Both upper level and divisional management make little effort to provide company and product direction, leaving employees confused on the end goal. This lack of product direction is also leading to dated applications and technologies that will soon be outpaced by our competitors. As resources leave they are rarely replaced, with their workload being poorly distributed to those who remain. Employee ideas on how to better our products and work environment are rarely acted upon, with excuses of not enough resources, time, or money. The salary is mediocre, and even with a great review, getting a raise in this company is like pulling teeth. No investments are made in employee training and technical growth.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If this company is as profitable as reported to the share-holders, you should have plenty of funds to invest in your most import resource, your employees. Re-structuring of this company should be considered as many of the divisions are only looking out for them selves, not the company as a whole. If changes are not made soon you will continue to loose your talent, product innovation, and most importantly to you, your profits.

    Pros

    Big Company, Good Working Environment.

    Cons

    Small Ventures, Incompatible Compensation Standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offers made against Job Vacancies are incompatible to Industry Standards, stand nowhere around a Multinational, so kindly look into that.

I worked at Ebix full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

This is a great place for someone just starting out looking to gain experience. The majority of workers are very dedicated to providing quality work and are always willing to lend a hand. Health benefits are top grade and relatively low cost.

    Cons

This is NOT a place for the matured employee. Salary raises are a joke if you're lucky enough to even get one! Work load is completely unreasonable for the salaries and you always feel like you're always treading water trying to keep up with the work and client. Upper management is spread too thin and they may make it twice a year to the various offices in the US. Their door is always open when you have an issue or suggestion, but they never follow through on promises they make...almost like a black hole. Their commitment to clients is an embarrassment and they will give attention to the client who screams the loudest. Almost everything is outsourced and because they don't support competitive salaries the turnover rate overseas and in US is high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making promises and not following through. That is not a way to run a company and only frustrates your workforce further as they are underpaid for the dedication to their work and commitment to clients.
