I worked at Ebix

Pros

For fresher or for someone who really needs work, ebix is right place but u need to sign a bond for a year and half...I suggest try for some better place make this your last choice.

Cons

There is no KRA in any team....many managers are just time pass, no business, no technology. They just know how to use outlook and how to create pressure without any reason. You have to work for extra hours without any reason. No pay for extra hours. Salary standard is outstanding from downside. Work@no fun..no appreciation, no encouragement, no freedom to move...

Think about employees, who give most of his/her time to Ebix...

    I have been working at Ebix

    Pros

    If you live locally near an office-convenient. Benefits are okay, you pay for insurance, have the usual holidays and "extra" days.

    Cons

    Management skills are so poor that their behavior borderlines on the bizarre. Jobs in the United States are always in flux and in danger of being shipped to India. CEO's relatives hold the highest positions, visiting officers talk about the million dollar company, but compensation is barely above minimum wage. Business is run by putting out fires. Forced to cover for mistakes made overseas- you are rated on how well you cover up those mistakes with customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You get what you pay for. Stop running the business as if your outsourcing overseas is a secret to be hidden at all costs. Acknowledge that the language barrier is much to great to overcome in the insurance industry. India is obviously a problem-high employee turnover, the results of their work jeopardizing some of your largest clients, and the cost of customer service in the long run. Quit blaming the front-line employees in America, when the true issue is the most obvious one. Take a good, long, hard look at your management teams and dispose of the ones that are ineffective. Longevity does not a manager or a worthy employee make.
