“Disappointing”
Former Employee – worked at Ecolab full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Overall, company performance is very stable and predictable. If you can find the right group and the right manager, it is a growing company.
Cons – Career growth is highly dependent on your manager's approval. Extremely relationship-based on who gets promoted and assigned projects. Management has very little diversity. Divisions operate in silos with minimal coordination. No work-life balance!
Advice to Senior Management – Don't be so short-sighted with budget cuts. Managers will cut expenses to the bone (and then some) to ALWAYS beat OI and analyst projections, even if it sacrifices strategic plans.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
