Doesn't Recommend

Pros

Big-name clients, smart staff, hands-on opportunities

Cons

Management structure doesn't make sense - you only report to your account teams and you may NEVER work with your manager directly (yet your manager reviews your work), senior management often reams out junior staff, worked non-stop til 1am many nights without any recognition, very cliquey

    Pros

Great people, top clients, forward-thinking vision and excellent management.

    Cons

    Long hours and modest compensation.

  2. Quirky, one-of-a-kind place with mostly great people doing meaningful work for heavy-hitting clients

I have been working at Edelman full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Independence, guided by our own interests and client interests; good pay and benefits; the fact that the Edelman family is deeply involved with and committed to our business makes all the difference; this is a place where you can chart your own destiny and try new things

    Cons

Bad behavior at senior levels tolerated too often and too long, although efforts have been taken to address this in the past few years; base pay is typically fair at senior levels although bonus potential is relatively low (and target payouts just decreased by 1 percent in FY13, although stretch potential increased accordingly)
