I have been working at Edible Arrangements part-time (less than a year)

Pros

Working around fruit is great. But don't even think about eating it. Each location or franchise is has different rules and standards. The growth opportunity is definitely there IF you stick around.

Cons

Long hours. Minimum wage. No overtime. Keep in mind: each location/franchise is different.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Extremely easy and can keep to yourself.
Meet some other nice temporary people.
Get to learn new skills, like dipping strawberries, which is fun.

    Cons

The non-temp employees don't really talk to you. They know you're there for just a temporary time and they kind of socially ignore you. They hire way too many temps and then send some home after one hour of working -which for $8 an hour -minus taxes, gas, and time is not worth it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I asked a manager where the towels to wash work tables down were before setting up the assembly line -since it was really dirty and hadn't been washed in the four hours I had been there... . And she said "Wipe down? It doesn't need to be wiped down." That's really bad because it was obviously very dirty. Managers should be enforcing clean work spaces and advise every employee, temporary or not, where the sanitizing buckets and towels are. People are going to be eating the fruit you lay on your tables.
