RUN! Do not walk away from their recruiters!

Assistant Director of Admissions (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsThey pay well, but are you willing to sell your soul for a paycheck? Oh, and there's free coffee and "Cup a Soup"!

ConsWorst. Job. EVER! Be prepared to be chained to your desk, slave to the auto-dialer that will track every second of your day. Have to pee? Your bathroom break is timed and you will hear about it if you take longer than deemed necessary. Be prepared to be screamed at by not only your bosses (more, more, MORE!!!) but also the poor saps who mistakenly entered their contact information into one of the scam websites that trick them by promising a job, free laptop, gift card...etc.

At first it seems all cool, until you realize that the "education" that you are selling is not worth getting for free much less the $1,500 PER CLASS that EDMC charges. Once you realize that all your efforts have produced is a lifetime of debt with no real job prospects for every hapless soul you place into class, you will hate getting up in the morning. Unless, that is, you are one of those soulless individuals who are happy to prey on the less fortunate. If so, then you will fit right in.

Advice to Senior ManagementPut together a curriculum that actually teaches something worth learning! Offer classes in fields where there actually are jobs and not just in the "passion fields".
