Former Employee – worked at Education Management full-time for more than 8 years

Pros – Being a leader in the career college environment can be extremely rewarding and EDMC has developed/aquired an impressive diversity of offerings in its portfolio. In theory, this should lend itself to a sustainable business model which can create value for its students

Cons – ...then Goldman came in and now it's a stinking heap of trash. Think that's too harsh - just google "EDMC" and get out of the way. Stunning micromanagement, misalignment of mission vs. student needs, student loan availability dramatically skews the value proposition away from the student's long term goals and, more importantly, disappointing outcomes.

Advice to Senior Management – Turn back time...go back to 2005

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
